Maple Plain, Minnesota December 5, 2005
Electrochemicals, Incorporated has announced price increases on its products. The increase for most of these products ranges from 3 to 6 percent.

The increases are necessitated by higher energy, raw material, and freight costs. The Company expects that upward pressure on raw materials and energy costs will continue into 2006.

Electrochemicals continues to provide the highest level of technical, R&D and customer service and works diligently to provide exceptional value to its customers.

The company has made every effort to hold the line on prices for the last four years despite rising costs. Unfortunately in the current economic environment, this is no longer possible.

The price increase will take effect sometime in early 2006.
